A Stainless Steel Sippy that grows with your child

Here at Little Acorns to Mighty Oaks, we've put together the perfect little Klean Kanteen kit, to see your child from 1year through to the early years of schooling (or can be used from as early as 6mths with Avent Soft spouts – available as an extra)
The Klean Kanteen Sippy Kit consists of a 12oz Klean Kanteen bottle, a sippy adapter, one Avent hard spout (suitable 12mths+), a clear dome cap and a 2.0 sports cap.

More about the Klean Kanteen 12oz bottle:
The Klean Kanteen 12oz bottle is made of 100% recyclable, high quality food grade stainless steel so it doesn't need a special lining like some other bottles. The bottle is completely BPA free and won't leach chemicals, toxins or funky flavours into your child's water or drink. It is designed for small hands, making it easy to hold, and the large mouth makes it easy to clean. The coloured bottles should be hand washed but if you choose a brushed stainless steel finish, it can safely go in the dishwasher!

Using the 12oz Klean Kanteen as a Sippy:
Every parent wants to make sure their baby's environment is as healthy as possible. Klean Kanteen can help you do that. They have designed a special adapter that works with Avent's patented sippy cup spout, so you don't have to worry about whether your child's bottle is leaching chemicals.
The sippy adapter is made from Polypropylene (#5 plastic) which is an inert non-leaching plastic. The Kit comes with one hard Avent spout (suitable from 12mths) but additional spouts are available seperately, including soft spouts which allow you to use the cup from just 6mths.

Is the Klean Kanteen Sippy leak proof?
While the Klean Kanteen bottle and sippy adapter are leak proof, the Avent spouts are not 100% leak free – they are designed to make the bottle spill proof, so should the bottle be knocked over it will not loose all its contents. During Little Acorns testing we found that a few drops of water can come out of the air hole, but there is less leakage with the soft spout than the hard spout – When using the clear dome cap while transporting the Klean Kanteen sippy in you nappy bag, not only does this keep the spout clean, but it also helps prevents any major leaks.

Hard Spouts - The hard Avent sippy spouts are green and made from Polypropylene, an inert non-leaching plastic, free of PVC, BPA and Phthalates. Recommended 12mths+

Soft Spouts - The soft Avent sippy spouts are white and made from Evoprene, a safe plastic that is free of PVC, BPA and Phthalates. Recommended 6mths+

Using the 12oz Klean Kanteen as a drink bottle:
When your child has grown out of the sippy bottle stage simply replace the Avent spout and adapter with the poly sports cap provided with the kit and you have the perfect sized drink bottle for lunch boxes and little hands. The poly sports cap 2.0 has an air vent to improve flow. The vent is plugged with a small silicone plug, the plug helps to keep the water inside, but this cap is not completely leak proof - the valve can leak a small amount if the bottle is on its side or upsidedown.
