Kid Basix thought carefully about every feature while they were designing their sports bottle. The most important issue of all was safety. So it's not surprising that the first thing people ask is "How come the cap is plastic?" The answer is simple: Nobody wants to drink out of a stainless steel spout. It just not safe (think chipped teeth, cut lips!)

Kid Basix have done the next best thing They have designed the Safe Sporter to keep all contact between water and plastic to a minimum, and they insist that all their plastic be certified free of BPA, phthalates and DEHA. Kid Basix pay for extensive independent laboratory testing on their sports bottles to make sure they are free of these chemicals. Lastly Kid Basix make the cap of the Safe Sporter out of Polypropylene, #5 plastic. PP is the most stable of all plastics. • The Body The Safe Sporter body is made of clean food grade 304 Stainless Steel. No BPA, no phthalates, no more plastic water bottles choking up our planet. Just a beautifully designed bottle that conforms to Kid Basix's first priority: Clean in/Clean out.

• The Pull Spout The sports spout is an easy-pull design that even youngsters can open.

• The Mud Cap Keeps the cap clean when not in use. Kid Basix thought of calling it the 'Yucky Stuff Cap'.... but Mud Cap won.

• The Wide Mouth Kid Basix created the bottle with a wide mouth for easy cleaning. It comes in handy in the summer when a few ice cubes are just what the doctor ordered!
